WaterAid's vision is, 'of a world where everyone has access to safe water and sanitation'. We sympathize here at the foundation with WaterAid's objectives. As such we aim to try and raise support, awareness, and finance for WaterAid among the other organizations we work with in order to help end poverty. You can donate direct to WaterAid but by donating though us you will generate even more awareness, donations and support for their work.

The benefits of clean water and sanitation help change peoples lives for the better, helping them reduce illness and therefore go to school, work, have more income, produce more and take part in and receive from life more fully.
We work with WaterAid by raising money which we intend to put to use funding specific WaterAid programs, the details of which we can pass on to you through our website.

WaterAid uses a variety of sustainable technologies such as rainwater harvesting, spring protection, subsurface dams, hand dug wells, bore holes, dry pit latrines, VIP latrines and so on to achieve its objectives. WaterAid in 2011 had around 224, 000 supporters. It reached 1.5 million people with safe water and 1.6 million people with sanitation. Its income was around £50 million. So WaterAId is an established charity with plenty of experience to carry out its work.
WaterAid uses technologies like hand-dug wells and boreholes to
provide uncontaminated water sources to communities. The wells are
sealed and fitted with appropriate pumps that communities are
trained to maintain and service themselves. Where groundwater is in
short supply, rainwater harvesting can be used. WaterAid also
provides sanitation, and hygiene education.
To implement partners WaterAid works with local NGO’s and private
companies who are experts in their niches, in return for financial
support, training and technical advice. WaterAid then has
independent monitoring to ensure accurate and beneficial evaluation
of programs.
There re still over 2 billion people in the world without access to either clean water or sanitation. So there is plenty more to do.

The Foundation finds WaterAids work to be of particular interest as the effects of creating clean water and sanitation are among the most effective of on the ground interventions for ending poverty. Clean water has huge effects on the economy, peoples dignity, education, gender equality, nutrition, health, mortality rates and so on, all some of the biggest issues in the developing world.
